Getting to sell Nectira on Steam would mean getting it on the #1 digital PC store, with access to (usually) MILLIONS of concurrent users (see for yourself).
On the other hand, without your help, I may get a few hundred people to notice Nectira; on my own, daily pumping money into Facebook marketing and networking to the best of my ability.
